Daily Landscaping installs sod across Greater Pittsburgh and Northwest Pennsylvania. Sod gives you a finished lawn in a day instead of waiting a season for seed to fill in. We prepare the ground properly first, because sod laid over compacted clay or bad grading will not root, no matter how good the roll looks going down.

We work in Zelienople, Harmony, Cranberry Township, Wexford, Gibsonia, Sewickley, and the surrounding towns. Call (724) 605-4822 for a free quote.

Sod Installation Across Greater Pittsburgh

Our sod work comes down to three things done right. First, ground preparation: we strip the old turf, break up compacted soil, bring in topsoil where it is needed, and grade so water runs away from the house instead of pooling in the yard.

Second, the sod itself. We lay it tight with staggered seams so you do not end up with lines of dead grass where the edges dried out. Third, we tell you exactly how to water it. Sod lives or dies in the first three weeks, and watering is the part that is on you.

Why Homeowners Across the Region Choose Us for Sod

Western Pennsylvania soil is heavy clay. It packs down hard, it drains slowly, and a lot of new construction lots get scraped down to subsoil before the builder throws grass seed at it. That is why so many lawns around here never fill in.

We deal with that ground every week. Daily Landscaping holds PA HIC registration PA177530, carries $1M/$3M general liability insurance, and holds a 4.5 star rating across 60 Google reviews. We offer financing through Dollar Bank on larger projects.

A Finished Lawn Without Waiting a Season

Seed is cheaper. Sod is faster and it works in places seed struggles: on slopes where seed washes out, in a yard that has to handle kids and dogs right away, and when you are selling and the front yard is the first thing a buyer sees.

If your lawn is thin rather than gone, aeration and overseeding may be the better spend. We will tell you which one your yard actually needs when we come out to look at it.

Our Workmanship Warranty

Sod carries a 30-day workmanship warranty, and it holds as long as you follow the watering and care instructions we hand you the day it goes down.

That condition is not fine print, it is just how sod works. New sod lives or dies on water in its first month. We grade it, we lay it, and we tell you exactly how much water it needs and how often. Do that and it knits into the soil underneath. Miss a week of it in July and no warranty from us or anybody else will bring it back.

If the sod was laid wrong, that is ours and we will come back and redo it.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Sod usually roots in two to three weeks and takes up to six weeks to fully establish. Soil conditions, weather, and how consistently it gets watered all affect that. Keep foot traffic off it during the first few weeks.

No. Laying sod over old grass is a shortcut that fails. The old turf competes with the new roots and the sod never anchors properly. We strip what is there and prepare the soil underneath first.

Sod usually roots in two to three weeks and takes up to six weeks to fully establish. On cost, sod installed runs about $1.50 to $2.00 per square foot, so roughly $1.70 for a typical job, with tear out of the old lawn and regrading adding to that. Soil conditions, weather and watering all affect how well it takes. See our full cost guide.

Twice a day for the first two weeks, then once a day for the following week, then every other day. Adjust for rain and heat. This is the single biggest factor in whether your new lawn lives.

Yes. We offer regular lawn and bed care including mulching, bed edging, core aeration and overseeding, so the lawn stays in the shape it was in the day we laid it. We do not offer grass cutting.
