Daily Landscaping mulches beds across Greater Pittsburgh and Northwest Pennsylvania. It is the single thing our customers mention most in their reviews, and it is the fastest, cheapest way to make a tired property look cared for again.

Fresh mulch and a crisp cut edge do more for how a house reads from the street than almost anything else you can spend the same money on. Call (724) 605-4822 for a free quote.

The Edge Is What People Actually See

Most of the visual difference between a sharp property and a tired one is the bed edge. A clean, cut edge gives the bed a defined line, keeps the mulch where it belongs, and stops the lawn creeping into the planting.

We cut the edge fresh rather than dropping mulch against a ragged, grown-in border, because mulch against a soft edge just washes into the grass with the first hard rain.

Depth Matters More Than People Think

Mulch is not just decoration. At the right depth it holds moisture in through a dry August, keeps the soil temperature steady through our freeze and thaw, and smothers weeds before they start.

Too thin and it does none of that, and you are looking at bare soil by July. Too thick and it holds water against the stems and rots the plants you paid for. Piling it up against tree trunks is the most common mistake we see, and it slowly kills the tree.

We put it down at the depth it should be, and we keep it off the trunks and the stems.

Mulch, Beds and Everything Around Them

Mulching usually comes with the rest of the bed work: cutting back what is overgrown, pulling what has died, and replacing it. See our plant and tree installation page if the beds themselves need rebuilding rather than refreshing.

We mulch residential properties and commercial landscaping sites, and it pairs with regular lawn care so the whole property gets looked after on one visit instead of three.

Spring is the obvious time. A fall refresh going into winter is worth it too.

Why Homeowners Call Us for Mulching

Daily Landscaping has been going since 2014. Owner TJ Belsterling runs the crews himself, and if you deal with this company you deal with him. There is not a client we work with that TJ has not spoken to personally.

Every estimate goes out within 48 hours, and usually within 24. If you have ever had a contractor walk your property and then never send anything, that is the promise we are making. You get a written, itemised estimate, not a number shouted over the phone.

We are not going to be your cheapest bid, and we will tell you that up front. We stand behind our workmanship: if something we built is not right, we come back and make it right.

Frequently Asked Questions:

It comes down to the square footage of the beds and the depth. Installed mulch runs roughly $72 to $94 per cubic yard delivered and spread. Access is what moves the number: if we can dump close to the beds it is cheaper than wheelbarrowing it up a hill, which on a lot of properties around here is the reality. We measure the beds when we come out rather than guessing. See our full cost guide.

Deep enough to hold moisture and stop weeds, and not so deep that it holds water against the stems. Too thin and it does nothing. Too thick and it rots the plants. It should also be kept off tree trunks, which is the most common mistake we see.

Spring is the main one, once the beds are cleaned out. A fall refresh before winter is worth doing as well, and it protects the roots through the freeze and thaw.

Yes, and it is most of the visible difference. We cut a fresh edge rather than dropping mulch against a grown-in border, because mulch on a soft edge just washes into the lawn in the first hard rain.

Yes. We mulch commercial sites as well as homes, and it can be handled on the same visit as regular grounds maintenance.
