Daily Landscaping installs trees, shrubs, and plantings across Greater Pittsburgh and Northwest Pennsylvania. Privacy screens, foundation plantings, and beds that look intentional rather than like whatever the builder left behind.
Planting is the cheapest way to change how a property feels, and the easiest thing to get wrong. Call (724) 605-4822 for a free quote.
The most common request we get is a screen: a neighbor’s window, a road, a new build that went up where there used to be trees. Emerald Arborvitae is the workhorse for this around here. It stays narrow, it holds its color, and it grows dense enough to actually block a view.
Spacing is what makes or breaks a screen. Planted too tight, they crowd each other and thin out from the inside. Planted too far apart, you are looking through them for years. We space them for what they will be, not for what they look like the day they go in.
Western Pennsylvania soil is heavy clay. Dig a hole in clay, drop a root ball in, and backfill, and you have effectively built a bucket: water runs in, sits, and drowns the roots. That is why plantings around here fail a year or two after they go in, long after whoever planted them is gone.
We open the hole wider than the ball rather than deeper, amend and break up the sides, and set the plant slightly high so it drains. It is not complicated, it is just the part people skip.
A lot of what we do is taking out overgrown, sheared-off evergreens that were planted too close to the house twenty years ago, and replacing them with something scaled to the building.
New beds get edged, planted, and mulched. Mulching is what our customers mention most in their reviews, and a clean bed edge does more for how a property reads from the street than almost anything else you can spend the same money on.
Daily Landscaping has been going since 2014. Owner TJ Belsterling runs the crews himself, and if you deal with this company you deal with him. There is not a client we work with that TJ has not spoken to personally.
Every estimate goes out within 48 hours, and usually within 24. If you have ever had a contractor walk your property and then never send anything, that is the promise we are making. You get a written, itemised estimate, not a number shouted over the phone.
We are not going to be your cheapest bid, and we will tell you that up front. We stand behind our workmanship: if something we built is not right, we come back and make it right.

Emerald Arborvitae is what we plant most for screening around here. It stays narrow, holds its color, and grows dense. The spacing matters more than the plant, and that is what we get right.
Usually the planting hole. Our soil is heavy clay, and a hole dug straight down and backfilled holds water like a bucket and drowns the roots. Shade and grading play into it as well. We would rather look at it than guess.
Yes. Removing overgrown foundation plantings and rebuilding the bed is a large part of what we do. We haul the old material out, re-edge the bed, plant, and mulch.
Both. Trees, shrubs, screens, and bed plantings.
