Harmony sits right next to Zelienople, which makes it about as close to our yard as work gets. It is a historic borough with older homes, and the work here tends to suit that: stone, steps, walls, and beds that look like they belong.

The ground here is heavy clay over shale and most lots have a slope on them. That is why walls in this area lean and patios settle when they are built without proper drainage and a proper base. Water needs somewhere to go, and footings need to get below the frost line. That is the part you cannot see once the job is finished, and it is the part that decides whether it lasts.
