Straight answers, including the two that cost us work and we give anyway: we do not cut grass and we do not plow snow. Everything else on this list is what we actually do, what it actually costs, and why.

If your question is not here, call (724) 605-4822 and ask TJ.

What We Do Not Do

Two things, and we would rather you knew before you called.

We do not cut grass. No weekly mowing. We do mulching, bed edging, aeration, overseeding, sod and seasonal cleanups, but the mowing itself is not us.

We do not do snow removal. We used to. We no longer offer plowing or de-icing.

Everything else on this page, we do.

The 48-Hour Estimate Promise

Every estimate goes out within 48 hours, and usually within 24. Written, itemised, emailed.

If you have ever had a contractor walk your property, promise a price, and then never send anything, that is the promise we are making.

What Drives the Price Here

Three things, and they are all specific to Western Pennsylvania.

Clay soil drains badly, so drainage is not optional. Freeze-thaw moves anything not set below the 36 inch frost line. And the hills: if a machine cannot get to the work, the labour cost goes up.

Real numbers are on the cost guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. We do not offer grass cutting or weekly mowing, and we would rather say so plainly than waste your time. We do handle everything else on the lawn and bed side: mulching, bed edging, core aeration, overseeding, sod installation, and spring and fall cleanups. If you need weekly mowing you will need a separate provider for that piece.

No, not any more. We used to, and we no longer offer snow removal, de-icing or plowing. Everything else on a commercial property we still handle: mulching and bed upkeep, seasonal cleanups, hardscape repair, and drainage and grading work.

Within 48 hours, and usually within 24. We call it the 48-Hour Estimate Promise, and it is the thing we are most consistent about. It is written and itemised and emailed to you, not a number shouted over the phone. Owner TJ Belsterling writes them himself, which is why they sometimes go out at odd hours.

For segmental block, budget roughly $35 to $75 per face foot. Natural stone and engineered walls run $40 to $100+ per face foot. The single biggest step change is height: once a wall passes 3 to 4 feet it generally needs engineered design, geogrid reinforcement tied back into the soil, deeper footings and a permit, and the geogrid alone can add up to half again on labour. Our full cost guide breaks this down properly.

No, and we will tell you that up front. On a finished wall or patio you cannot see the base depth, the compaction, the drainage stone or the pipe behind it, which is exactly why those are the first things a cheap bid cuts. If the lowest number is the only thing that matters to you, another company will serve you better and we would rather say so now.

Yes. We offer financing through Dollar Bank on larger projects. You deal with the bank on the lending side and we get on with the work. Ask us when we come out to quote and we will tell you what is available. There is more on our financing page.

Yes. We hold Pennsylvania Home Improvement Contractor registration PA177530 and carry $1M / $3M general liability insurance. We have been in business since 2014.

We are based at 22063 Perry Hwy in Zelienople and work across Butler, Allegheny and Beaver counties. That includes Cranberry Township, Wexford, Mars, Gibsonia, Seven Fields, Harmony, Sewickley, Allison Park, Bradford Woods, Evans City, Valencia, Sarver and Monaca. If you are nearby but not on the list, call and we will tell you straight whether you are in our range.

For pavers and decorative walls we use Techo-Bloc. For wall systems we use Versa-Lok, supplied through R.I. Lampus. We are not going to list brands we do not actually buy.

Water, almost every time. Western Pennsylvania has heavy clay soil that drains badly, and freeze-thaw cycling that moves anything not set below the frost line. A wall built without clean stone and a perforated drain pipe behind it has nowhere to send that water, so the pressure builds and the wall leans out. It usually shows up around the fourth winter.

In Allegheny County the frost line is 36 inches, so footings for decks, pergolas, gazebos and freestanding structures need to extend at least that far below grade. Shallow footings are why structures heave out of level. Under a paver patio, we excavate and compact to depth rather than laying on a thin base.

Yes, where a permit is required we handle it. Whether you need one depends on your municipality and on the job: retaining walls over 3 to 4 feet generally need engineered drawings and approval, and decks generally need a permit. We will tell you what your job needs when we quote it.

Yes. If something we built is not right, we come back and make it right. We are an owner-led company in a small area and our name is on the job.

TJ, the owner. In his words, there is not a client we do business with that he has not had a personal conversation with.
